This month it finally happened: the official opening of the unlock_ hub in the heart of the Leiden Bio Science Park at BioPartner 3. A milestone that has been long in the making. During the festive opening, we reflected on the road that led us here, and looked ahead at what the hub means for startups in Life Sciences and Health.
Inspiring stories from partners and unlock_ participants
At the opening, the founding partners, Leiden Bio Science Park, BioPartner, OVBSP, Municipality of Leiden, Province of South Holland, and PLNT, shared how the idea for the unlock_ hub came to life.
They outlined their shared vision: a vibrant place in the middle of the Leiden Bio Science Park where startups can grow, learn, and connect.
Former participants of the unlock_ program also shared their experiences. They talked about their startup journeys, the challenges they faced, and how the program helped them take major steps forward. Their enthusiasm was contagious, a strong testament to the impact of unlock_.
Bringing the community spirit to the Leiden Bio Science Park
With the opening of this hub, a piece of PLNT is now physically part of the Leiden Bio Science Park. Startups participating in the unlock_ cohort, as well as those setting up their offices in the hub, can expect the same warm community feeling that PLNT is known for in the center of Leiden.
From now on, all events focused on Life Sciences & Health will be hosted at the unlock_ hub, making it a central place for innovation, collaboration, and connection.
